讓步狀語(yǔ)從句

1.定義

讓步狀語(yǔ)從句（Adverbial Clause of Concession），屬于狀語(yǔ)從句中的一種。一般翻譯為“盡管……”或“即使……”等，就是我們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪杏玫摹巴艘徊秸f…”的感覺。

2、分類

讓步狀語(yǔ)從句的引導(dǎo)詞主要有：

①though/although，表示“雖然，即使，縱然”。 二者都可與yet, still或never, the less連用，但不能與but連用。

although語(yǔ)氣較重，大多位于句首

例如：Although I was only six, I can remember seeing it on TV.

雖然當(dāng)時(shí)我只有6歲，我還能記得在電視上看見過它。

though引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句可以把表語(yǔ)，狀語(yǔ)，動(dòng)詞等提至句首。

例如：Boy though he is, he likes to play with girls.

他雖是個(gè)男孩，卻喜歡和女孩玩。

②even if/even though，表示的語(yǔ)氣更強(qiáng)，意為“再退一步說”

even if強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)“假設(shè)”的讓步，不能用來(lái)描述已經(jīng)發(fā)生的事實(shí)；even though更強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)“既成事實(shí)”的讓步。

例如：We’ll make a trip even if the weather is bad.

即使天氣不好，我們也要去旅行。  (even if引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，對(duì)“假設(shè)”讓步）

We made a trip even though the weather was bad. 

盡管天氣不好，我們還是作了一次旅行。(even though引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)“既成事實(shí)”的讓步)

③as表示“雖然……但是……”，“縱然……”

as引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句必須以部分倒裝的形式出現(xiàn)，具體變法是把從句中作狀語(yǔ)或者表語(yǔ)的“名詞/動(dòng)詞/形容詞/副詞/動(dòng)詞（分詞）”提到句首，形成倒裝結(jié)構(gòu)。

例如：King as he is, he is unhappy.

盡管他是國(guó)王，但他并不快樂。（名詞+as+主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞）

Successful as she is, she is not proud.

盡管她很成功，但她并不驕傲。(動(dòng)詞+as+主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞)

Much as I would like to stay, I really must go home.

盡管我想留下來(lái)，但我確實(shí)必須回家。(副詞+as+主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞)

④whether...or.../ whether...or not表示“不論是否……”“不管是……還是……”

例如：You've got to go to school, whether you like it or not. 

不管你喜歡不喜歡，你得上學(xué)。

You will have to attend the ceremony whether you are free or busy.

不管你有空還是忙，你都得參加這個(gè)典禮。

⑤while表示“盡管”，語(yǔ)氣比although/though弱，通常位于句首

while引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)時(shí)，如果從句的主語(yǔ)和主句的主語(yǔ)相同，那么從句的主語(yǔ)和謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞be可以省略

例如：While he was feel uncomfortable, he still persevered. 

=While feel uncomfortable, he still persevered.

雖然他感到不舒服，但他還是堅(jiān)持下來(lái)了。

⑥wh-ever類詞/no matter+wh-詞，表示“無(wú)論怎樣”

wh-ever類詞引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí)可以換成no matter+wh-詞，但是引導(dǎo)名詞性從句時(shí)只能用wh-ever類詞

例如：Whatever you did，I will accept. 

= No matter what you did，I will accept.

不管你做了什么，我都接受。
