人民幣匯率 the RMB exchange rate

5日，人民幣對美元離岸、在岸價格雙雙"破7"。中國人民銀行對此回應稱，受單邊主義和貿易保護主義措施及對中國加征關稅預期等影響，5日人民幣對美元匯率有所貶值，突破了7元，但人民幣對一籃子貨幣繼續(xù)保持穩(wěn)定和強勢。央行重申，人民幣匯率完全能夠在合理均衡水平上保持基本穩(wěn)定。

China's central bank on Monday reiterated that it is confident in its capability of keeping the yuan's exchange rate basically stable after both the onshore and offshore yuan broke seven against the U.S. dollar. The People's Bank of China (PBOC) attributed the weakening of the currency beyond 7 yuan per U.S. dollar Monday to factors including unilateral and protectionist measures, as well as the expectation of additional tariffs on Chinese goods. The yuan remains strong and steady against a basket of currencies, said the bank.
